Shani Ryan (M.Ost)

Shani graduated from the University College of Osteopathy with a Master’s degree in Osteopathy (M.Ost) and has completed further postgraduate training in Cranial Osteopathy at the Sutherland Cranial College of Osteopathy.
Before becoming an osteopath, Shani trained at The National Theatre Ballet School in Melbourne, Australia, and went on to work as a professional dancer across musical theatre, classical ballet, contemporary dance, and music videos.
Throughout her dance career, Shani experienced first hand the benefits of osteopathic treatment, which became an integral part of how she cared for her body.
After a persistent ankle injury ended her performing career, Shani retrained as an osteopath, inspired by her own experience of osteopathic treatment and a desire to help others feel better, move more freely, and regain a sense of balance in their bodies.
With over seven years of clinical experience, Shani continues to practise in Haywards Heath and Hove, alongside running her own clinic in Worthing, which she launched at the beginning of 2026.
Shani is dedicated to creating a calm, supportive environment where patients feel listened to and understood.
She believes in building strong, collaborative relationships with her patients, taking the time to understand each individual and tailor treatment to their needs. Her aim is not only to support recovery but also to help patients feel more confident, balanced, and in control of their long-term wellbeing.
She treats a wide range of patients and conditions, using a combination of hands-on treatment, soft tissue techniques, cranial osteopathy, tailored exercises, and practical lifestyle advice.
Shani is fully registered with the General Osteopathic Council and a member of the Institute of Osteopathy.

Total Balance Osteopathy is based in a quiet residential area of East Worthing, creating a calm and welcoming environment away from the bustle of the town centre.
The clinic has been thoughtfully designed to feel warm, relaxing and inviting, helping patients feel comfortable and at ease from the moment they arrive. Natural pine finishes and soft green tones combine to create a peaceful treatment space with a calm, restorative atmosphere.

We have two free off-street parking spaces available for patients directly in front of the clinic.
By Bus
The clinic is accessible via several nearby bus routes, with stops on Brougham Road, Ham Road and Brighton Road all within a short walk of the clinic.
By Train
East Worthing railway station is the nearest station, approximately 0.5 miles from the clinic, around a 10–12 minute walk away.
Worthing railway station is also accessible, is 1.4 miles away and approximately 30 minute walk from the clinic.
